What CanadianFinHub is
CanadianFinHub is a tool for recording and visualizing your household's finances โ net worth, cash flow, assets, liabilities, and rental units โ plus planning calculators, an owner-manager business toolkit, and an AI assistant on paid plans. Everything is based on figures you enter yourself.
Not advice
Nothing in CanadianFinHub โ including calculator outputs, derived mortgage schedules, savings rates, or projections โ is financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Calculations use standard formulas and your inputs; they can differ from your lender's or institution's actual figures. Verify anything important with the institution involved or a qualified professional before acting on it.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of what you enter. A household supports two members; the account owner controls membership and can remove the invited member. Each member can see all of the household's data โ only invite someone you're comfortable sharing your full financial picture with.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to access other households' data, probe or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
CanadianFinHub has three plans: Free ($0), Household ($99/year or $9.99/month), and Business ($149/year or $14.99/month), all in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. New households get a 14-day trial of the paid features with no credit card required. Paid subscriptions renew automatically โ annually or monthly, matching what you chose โ until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't refund partial periods except where the law requires it. If we change a price, we'll tell you before your next renewal so you can decide. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We may change or discontinue features, with reasonable notice for material changes; if we discontinue a paid feature you rely on mid-term, you can ask for a pro-rated refund of the remainder.
The AI assistant
Paid plans include the AI assistant, with usage supplied by us, subject to fair personal use โ we may throttle automated or abusive traffic to keep it available for everyone. The assistant's replies are generated automatically from the figures in your household and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date; they are information, not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, and you shouldn't act on them without verifying independently. If you connect your own API key in Settings, requests run against your key and your provider's terms apply.
Business tools
The Business plan's calculators and write-ups (corporate tax, GST/HST, payroll, CCA, dividends, structures, estate freezes) are planning estimates built on published rates and standard formulas. They are not tax filings, not legal or accounting advice, and no substitute for your accountant or lawyer โ corporate structures in particular should never be implemented from a web page.
Liability
CanadianFinHub is provided as-is, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on the numbers shown, or for losses arising from service interruptions or data issues. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to export your data and stop using the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
